Tracy Williams Therapy

It is natural to feel a bit anxious when transitioning from lockdown to coming back to public spaces. To keep each other safe and maintain well being I have a range of measures and requests in place. If you have any questions, or concerns please feel free to let us know.
-
Firstly you may want to prepare yourself as the environment may look a bit different than before. Perhaps it would be helpful to approach your first session with an attitude of curiosity while trusting all changes are done to support everyone’s well-being.
-
Even if the building seems a bit more formal, I hope you find my consultation room comfortable and relaxing.
-
In my consultation room some furniture has changed and been removed to enable a two-metre distance between client and therapist.
-
I continue to stagger client appointments to minimise contact in the waiting area.
-
Please aim to arrive as close to your appointment as possible. This will help reduce time in the waiting area.
-
Physical contact will be minimal. As much as I would like to greet you by shaking your hand I will instead keep the intention rather than act upon this
-
I would like to serve you a cup of tea, coffee or water and I will use precautions by using hand sanitiser before and after. However, if you prefer to minimise contact exposure, drinks will be available at a self-service station with sanitiser on hand to be used before and after.
-
I will have pen and paper on hand as well as hand sanitiser. Although, if you prefer, it may be helpful to bring your supplies as needed.
-
There will be hand sanitiser stations both in my consultation room and throughout the building. Please help yourself to use these as you enter and leave.
-
I will thoroughly clean my consultation room before and after every client and the large consultation room windows will provide air circulation.
-
If possible, please wear a mask when entering the building and in communal areas, unless under 12 years of age
-
If you are most comfortable wearing a mask or gloves (and would like me to also) please let me know as I would like you to feel as comfortable as possible.
-
Lastly if you have any potential Covid 19 symptoms or been in contact with someone with symptoms in the last 14 days please let me know and we can either reschedule your appointment or have an online session.
There are clients who would prefer online therapy, and so I will continue to offer sessions via Zoom, Skype, VSee or telephone.
Please note that due to restrictions in maintaining social distancing and office space I am continuing to offer couples sessions online for new and continuing clients. I will announce when I will be able to offer couples and family sessions in my consultation room.
My aim is to be flexible, to make therapy as convenient and accessible for you as possible.
Thank you for your understanding, patience and flexibility as we all work together to support health and well-being.
